Young Learners English (YLE)

Cambridge English : Young Learners (YLE), also known as Young Learners English (YLE) Tests , give a consistent measure of how well 7 – 12 year olds are doing in the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. YLE Tests are designed to make learning fun and children are encouraged by working towards certificates and earning ‘shields’ that record their progress.

YLE has three progressive levels of test : Starters, Movers & Flyers.

Fun while learning
At Cambridge English, we believe that learning should not be stressful for children. By enjoying their studies, reading, listening and speaking in English come naturally. As their confidence develops, they will want to learn more and use English to a more challenging level.
YLE exam
Cambridge English tests are written around familiar topics and focus on the skills needed to communicate effectively in English through listening, speaking, reading and writing.
An Award for everyone
The Cambridge YLE papers taken by your child are marked by examiners in the UK and awards are issued by Cambridge ESOL. These awards, with shields for each language skill (reading and writing, listening and speaking), measure the the child's performance accurately.
There is no pass or fail. Every child gets a Cambridge English certificate which celebrates their achievements.
